Chet and Neil Krause World War II letters, 1941-1946.

Approximately 400 letters from Chester "Chet" and Carlton Neil Krause, brothers from Ogdensburg, Wisconsin, during their service in World War II. Neil served with Company C, 11th Infantry, in the Pacific theater and Chet served in the European theater with Headquarters Battery, 565th Antiaircraft Battalion. Both write of fellow soldiers, life on base, news of family and friends from home, and Army life overseas. Chet arrived at Buchenwald Concentration Camp three days after its liberation. The bulk of the letters were written to their parents, particularly their mother but a few are to or from other friends and family.
