In this lecture garden archaeologist Kathryn Gleason explores the gardens of the ancient Romans and highlights recent discoveries at the villa of the poet Horace, the rock cut city of Petra, the tomb of Herod the Great, and Stabia, south of Pompeii, where excavations are revealing the realities behind beautiful ancient garden frescoes.
