Collection of 273 music arrangements done by Frank Scott to be used by his orchestra in the Palm Desert, California area. vary as to what they contain. Most include individual instrument parts and a conductor's score. Almost all the arrangements are complete or are copies of commercial arrangements. The collection has been arranged alphabetically by title, and all titles are listed as part of the on-line finding aid. In folder one are copies of the three 'master' lists that came with the collection. One list gives 'Big Band Instrument Arrangements' and whether 4 saxs & 5 brass, 5 saxs & 8 brass, or both. Another list is for 7-piece orchestra arrangements. The 10-piece orchestra arrangements listing also lists which ones have 4 saxs & 5 brass.

Frank Scott was born in Fargo, N.D. in 1921. After playing in an orchestra in Ohio, he began a 12-year career as music director and pianist for WDAY Radio in Fargo. In 1956 the family relocated to California and he became an arranger and accompanist on the Lawrence Welk Show. His wife Jeanette died in 1979.
