Estate of Elias Hasket Derby Account Book, 1799-1803.

Account book includes payments made against the Estate of Elias Hasket Derby; payments were processed by John Derby and Benjamin Pickman, executors of the estate. Payments included pilotage fees for ships owned by the Derby family; purchase of cargo for some of these ships; repairs made to Derby Wharf in Salem, MA, by Micah Wild; state, county, and town taxes paid on the estate; and taxes paid on the Derby farm in Danvers, MA. Payment was also made from the Estate of Elias Hasket Derby to the Estate of Jonathan Derby, John Gardner, executor of Jonathan Estate.
