Ulius L. Amoss papers, 1941-1963.

Collection includes correspondence, literary manuscripts, speeches, espionage material, printed matter, photographs, and memorabilia related to spymaster Ulius "Pete" Louis Amoss (1895-1961) and International Services of Information (ISI), a private intelligence agency he founded. Literary manuscripts include an autobiography and a biography, possibly of one of his agents. Speeches include those made by Amoss in promotion of ISI and the profession of espionage,1950-1960. Espionage material includes correspondence, special and secret reports, and material removed from two notebooks concerning Soviet intelligence. The collection also includes reports, correspondence, and records from Amoss' service in the United States Office of Stratetic Services during World War II. Printed matter includes published articles by Amoss, ISI publications edited by Amoss, and newsclippings.

Ulius "Pete" Louis Amoss (1895-1961) was an American businessman who dedicated his life to espionage. During World War II, Amoss served as a director in the United States Office of Strategic Services, for which he was awarded the Legion of Merit. After he was discharged in 1946, Amoss formed the International Services of Information Foundation (ISI), a non-profit intelligence service whose purpose was to collect and disseminate information from foreign countries.
