The collection consists of thirty-seven items, including: two letters to Reggie Turner, circa 1934, introducing actress Anna May Wong, and accompanying a catalog of Max's exhibition with comments about cities he's visited; two letters to Mrs. Wilde, 24 Feb. 1939, sending a foreword with his autobiography, and 15 April 1939, acknowledging receipt of a check but questioning the amount; receipt, 1 May 1939, received from The British & International Press for first British serial rights to Round the Room; contract with Heinemann, 29 April 1938, the rights to his autobiography; royalty agreement , 30 Jan. 1939, with Chapman & Hall for Round the Room; some twenty-seven letters and carbons among Knoblock, Mrs. M.S.
