William Carr Lane's diary, transcript, 1852-1853.

Typed mimeograph transcript of William Carr Lane's diary from July 31, 1852 through February 28, 1853. Covers Lane's diary from St. Louis to New Mexico. Gives descriptions of the land and people that were encountered on the trip. Also include is a letter to Frederick Hodge, establishing the provenance of the diary, dated December 17, 1911.
