Ed Wolff talks about his participation in the life of the Boulder music community, including his personal experiences in arranging and composing for local, national and international singing groups. He served on the boards of the Colorado Music Festival, the Boulder Philharmonic and the advisory board of the University of Colorado College of Music, and talks about development and progress of these organizations with respect to musicians, conductors and audiences from the 1970s and '80s to the present. He was also a founding member of the New Wizard Oil Combination, a singing group in Boulder, and discusses other "a capella" groups such as Ars Nova singers. In addition, he comments on the genesis and growth of the MahlerFest and the Bach Festival and Boulder's development of a broad community base of varied and successful music groups.
