The archive documents Yvonne Rainer's life as an artist from the late 1950s through 2006, and includes photographic material dated as early as 1933. The collection includes correspondence, including exchanges with Trisha Brown, Robert Morris and Benjamin Buchloh; choreographic scores; film scripts; photographs, negatives, contact sheets and slides, many by Peter Moore documenting Rainer's work; audio and video recordings, and film reels; manuscripts essays and notes; publications by and about Rainer; press reviews of dance and film; personal diaries, calendars and address books; and extensive rare ephemera. The archive also contains film footage in various formats of Rainer's work.
