Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1790-1795.

Mahogany tall-case clock. The hood has an ogee molded arch pediment, three urn-and-flame finials on block plinths, turned colonettes with brass capitals at the front corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top and a case door with an astragal top. Base with ogee molding at the top and bottom and applied scalloped molding at the top, supported on ogee bracket feet. Engraved brass dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved figured motif depicting the four seasons in the spandrels, and painted moon phase dial and engraved ornament in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there are a seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and the engraved inscription "Nath Shipman Norwich." Eight day movement.
