Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1760-1801.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a double stepped top, a central wooden flattened ball-and-spire finial on a block plinth flanked by a scalloped crest and two identical finials on block plinths, geometric fretwork, turned colonettes at the front corners, and a square glazed door. Waist with cove and ogee molding at the top and a case door with an astragal top. Base with ogee molding at the top and bottom, supported on compressed ball feet. Composite brass and silvered dial with applied chapter ring, roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, and applied cast ornament in the spandrels. Inside the chapter ring there are an applied seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and the inscription "Benj. Reeve." Eight day movement.
