Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1780-1790.

Walnut-tall case clock. The hood has a molded broken-scroll pediment with dentil moldings terminating in carved rosettes, and three urn-and-flame finals. The two flanking finials sit on fluted plinths. There are fluted columns at the front corners and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with ogee molding at the top, fluted quarter-columns at the front corners, and a case door with an astragal top. Base with ogee molding at the top. Base section with fluted quarter-columns at the front corners, and applied base panel with concave sides and corners. Ogee molding at the bottom and supported on ogee bracket feet. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved decoration in the spandrels and lunette, signed in the lunette "Benj Reeve Greenwich." Inside the chapter ring there is an engraved seconds dial and a calendar aperture. Eight day movement.
