Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1755-1770.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a molded flat pediment with a raised molded top with three turned ball-and-spire finials on plinths, sidelights with astragal tops, turned three-quarter columns at the front corners, turned quarter columns at the rear corners, and a glazed door with a square opening. Waist with cove molding at the top and a case door with an astragal top. Base with cove and ogee molding at the top, fielded panel at the front, and cove, ogee molding at the bottom and supported on straight bracket feet. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, and applied cast ornament in the spandrels. Inside the chapter ring there is a calendar aperture, punched ornament, an engraved star motif, and an applied name plaque engraved "Jacob Godshalk Towamencin." Thirty hour movement.
