Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1755-1760.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a molded flat pediment with a raised molded top, two turned ball-and-spire finials on fluted plinths, sidelights with astragal tops, turned three-quarter columns at the four corners, and a glazed door with a square opening. Waist with cove and ogee molding at the top and a case door with a carved shell at the top. Base with cove and ovolo molding at the top, fielded panel at the front, ogee molding at the bottom, and supported on ogee bracket feet. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, and applied cast ornament in the spandrels. Inside the chapter ring there is a calendar aperture, punched ornament, an engraved star motif, and an applied name plaque engraved "Jacob Godshalk Towamencin." Thirty hour movement.
