Brass dial shelf clock, 1780-1790.

Cherry shelf clock with an ovolo molded cornice, a flat top, and a rectangular door with a glazed arched opening. Bottom section with molded cornice, molding at the bottom, a shaped and scrolled skirt, and supported on straight bracket feet. Circular brass dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, small plate with concave sides attached at bottom of dial, and decorated with engraved foliate designs. The dial bears the inscription "Willard" below the "XII" numeral and "Roxbury Street" above the "VI" numeral. Two day movement.
