Tall case brass dial clock, 1735-1746.

Mahogany tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with a molded sarcophagus top, topped with three turned urn-and-flame finials on plinths. The sarcophagus top has shallow carving with floral and foliate designs. The arch pediment has round and fillet molding with bands of leaf carving and egg-and-dart carving above a band of dentil molding. There is blind fretwork in the tympanum above the arch. Below the arch is a wide frieze with blind fretwork carving, featuring the coat of arms of the Plumsted family in the center, flanked by lions, surrounded by a foliate pattern with dragons at the outer edge. There are free-standing fluted Corinthian columns at the four corners. The door is glazed with an astragal top. Waist with cove and ogee moldings with floral carving at the top and a case door with an astragal top. Base with floral carved molding at the top, ogee molding at the bottom and a plain baseboard. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, applied cast ornament in the spandrels, and a moon phase dial in the lunette surrounded by engraved decoration. Inside the chapter ring there is an applied seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and a name plate engraved "Peter Stretch." Eight day movement.
