Several receipts for the use of mankind, Watford, Hertfordshire [manuscript], 1690, 1696-1702.

A technical treatise, compiled by John Martin, on the art of painting, including many pharmaceutical recipes, in large part a rearrangement of portions of William Salmon's Polygraphice (Wing S444 or later editions) with an extract from Dr. Grew's discourse of the colors of plants, printed in his The anatomy of plants (Wing G1945). Also, a transcript with some differences of William Aglionby's Painting illustrated in three dialogues . . . 1685 (Wing A764). Also, Some memorandums of painting and carving, drawn mostly from classical times. Short bibliography.
