Autograph letter signed from Robert Dudley to the Archbishop of Pisa, Guiliano de'Medici [manuscript], 1625 August 26.

Describes the Archbishop as his closest confidant at the Medici Court. Complains that the terms of his contract have only been partially met; while he has been paid his annual salary of 10,000 scudi, the court has ignored the well-being of his daughters. The 2,000 scudi he has received on their behalf is insufficient and, he implies, against the terms of a prior agreement. He is considering putting his daughters in the English monastery in Flanders, since it is a good place for well-born girls, and it would be convenient given his English dealings.
