"Not just a pretty face" exhibit collection, 1997.

The "Not Just a Pretty Face" Exhibit Collection contains photographic transparencies and prints from an exhibit that featured Alaska Native doll makers and their creations, exhibit brochures, and a workbook and transcripts for the video and interviews conducted for the "Not Just a Pretty Face" exhibit that took place at the University of Alaska Museum in 1999. The transcripts in the collection are from the 12 interviews of Alaska Native doll makers conducted in 1999. Chase Hensel and Kathy Turko interviewed the doll makers. Interviewees were Denise Hardesty, Rosalee Bunyan, Jackie Schoppert, Ruth Koweluk, Dora Buchea, Caroline Kava Penayah, Walton Irrigoo, Iva and Ken Lisbourn, Lillian Tetpon, Eva Heffle and Alice Johnnie. The interview transcripts cover a variety of subjects dealing with doll making.
