Oral history interview with Clayton R. Brower, 1981.

Brower discusses his transition from public school administrator to college professor and department chair and the evolution of the college from a small teachers college to a comprehensive college offering a wide range of degree programs. Topics also include his own presidency as well as the presidency of his predecessors, relationships with state education officials in Trenton, the Moser incident in which a faculty member who had not disclosed his former Communist Party membership was denied a new contract on an extremely short notice, problems during the Heussler presidency, anti-Vietnam War student demonostrations and occupation of the Student Center and the Green Hall, and racial strife on campus.
