Thanking him for paying 20s to his cousin Mary Doleman; mentioning a note from his cousin Stratton; saying that some of his tenants paid their rent to the Strattons without his knowledge; discussing Lyde's recent appointment to be "one of the Commissioners for the raiseing the cappitation tax" [sic].
