Collection includes two typescript copies of "Personal reminiscences of Western poets," describing his experiences with the other students at Columbia College in Eugene, Or., including Joaquin Miller, Joaquin's brother John Miller, Finley Watson, and recalling Joaquin's courtship of Minnie Myrtle Miller; and two versions of his account of his father's family's arrival in Oregon via the Oregon Trail, 1853, one of which is included in a letter to George Himes, 1923 Oct. 26.
