Manuscript notebook containing notes on osteologie and a hand-written facsimile of the 1744 edition of Maupertuis' Dissertation physique à l'occasion du negre blanc. Notes on osteologie are perhaps from a university course, and the text contains some corrections and cancellations. The text of the Maupertius, by contrast, is written neatly and follows the pagination of the original 1744 printed edition. The transcriber has been careful to copy the entire original title page, even including the printer's mark, and has even copied the collation marks at the bottom of the pages.
