E.A. Corbett joined the University of Alberta Dept. of Extension in 1920, becoming director in 1928. He helped establish Canada's first University radio station C.K.U.A. and in 1933 he founded the Banff School of Fine Arts. In 1937 he resigned from the University of Alberta and became the director of the newly formed Canadian Association for Adult Education.
