Stanley "Stan" Reinholtz (1930-2010) was born in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from Madison East High School in 1948. He earned a B.A. in business administration from the University of Wisconsin before he was drafted into the Army in 1952 during the Korean War. Reinholtz attended Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance School (Indiana) and became one of only fifty budget and fiscal specialists in Japan during the war.
