Collection consists of financial records retained by the furniture manufacturing firm of Peden & Rogers and Company of Paris, Tennessee from 1851 to 1867. The records include debit and credit receipts, separated ledger entries and a small amount of correspondence from regional businesses and individuals in western Tennessee and Kentucky.

Peden & Rogers and Company was a furniture manufacturing firm in Paris, Tennessee from about 1850 to around 1870. The company was owned and operated by Corneliuis Peden and William Rogers. Peden was a cabinetmaker born in Virginia in 1801 and died on January 11, 1879. Rogers was a businessman believed to have died in 1886.
