Loyalist Church of England clergyman Moses Badger (1743-1792) was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on July 11, 1743 to Joseph Badger and Hannah (Moody) Parsons, his father's second wife. He attended Harvard College, receiving an A.B. in 1761 and an A.M. in 1764. After completing his studies at Harvard, Badger studied under Arthur Browne, rector of Queen's Chapel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
