Tristram Dalton Papers, 1772-1814.

Includes ALS, Newburyport, Massachusetts, 21 October 1775 to Elbridge Gerry concerning: supplying ammunition and other goods to the Indians in Maine; the scarcity of powder locally; the schooner Britannia remaining in government service; pleads for a runaway sailor in jail. Letter also mentions George Washington. Also includes a letter dated Salem, March 14, 1814, to Joseph Cutler, concerning the deed from Katherine Dalton to Mr. Hodge, as well as letters, receipts, and 2 power of attorney papers.
