Reminiscences of city & country life in China, ca. 1900 / [Nina Florence Browne Craven]

Craven accompanied her father John Ross Browne (1821-1875) to China in 1868 upon Browne's appointment as the United States Minister to China. Thirty years later she reminiscences about their trip from San Francisco to China and what she observed about life in China during their stay (1868-1869), especially in the cities of Peking and Shangai.
