Serving as the institutional memory of Middlebury College, the College Archives is the repository of records, documents, publications, photographs, audiovisual recordings and other archival materials related to Middlebury College and its emerging global presence since 1800. The Archives contain materials in all formats generated by the college administration, faculty, students, alumni, and independent scholars, past, present, and future. These materials serve not only the full range of administrative needs of the offices of the President, Provost, Dean of the College, and other departments including the Alumni Office, College Advancement, Communications, academic departments, and the Summer Language Schools, but provide access to scholarly historical research for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and independent researchers.
