Original manuscript of chapter 21 of A tramp abroad, Samuel L. Clemens's (Mark Twain's) account of his sojourn of nearly a year and a half in Europe, written in the form of a burlesque walking tour. In this text, the author visits the tourist attractions of Baden-Baden, Germany. With numerous revisions, deletions, and marginal notes. Paginated 640-690, corrected to 685-730, by Clemens and the chapter number has been changed from "32" to "21" by him. Includes printed title page, printed page with text "Pages from the original edition" followed by p. 196-206 of same, and a portrait of the author signed "W.H.W. Bicknell" and dated 1884, as a frontispiece.
