Governor's Proclamation Books, 1865-1976.

Consists of copies of some of the proclamations made by Tennessee governors beginning with the administration of William G. Brownlow on April 13, 1865 through Ray Blanton on July 22, 1976. This record group is not the only source of Tennessee governor's proclamations. Additional proclamations can be found in the respective governor's papers. These records were compiled by the Secretary of State.
