Album includes photographs of the Port Cost Brick Works (Port Costa, Calif.) and of several noteworthy buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area which were built with bricks from this plant, including Shumate's Drugs (S.F.), Kappa Sigma fraternity (Berkeley), Daniel Webster School (S.F.), Harrison School (S.F.), Illinois Pacific Glass Co. (S.F.), the chapel of the San Francisco County Hospital, Lick Home, Frick School (Oakland), Jefferson School (S.F.) and other unidentified residences.

Gabriel Moulin was a San Francisco photographer who documented 20th century San Francisco. Moulin originally worked for Isaac Taber and R.J. Waters until he began Moulin Studios. Moulin was one of the official photographers of the Golden Gate International Exposition. The publication of the album was sponsored by the Mayor and Board of Supervisors, City and County of San Francisco.
