Theos Casimir Bernard collection, ca. 1932-1987.

Photocopies of papers associated with the life of Theos Bernard primarily between 1932 and 1939. Present are one Bernard student paper on Mysticism and several research papers dealing with the time he spent near Acoma Pueblo studying Native Americans. Most significant to the collection are items associated with his trip to India and Tibet in 1936 - 1938 including his journal and correspondence to his wife Viola after their separation in India. Additional folders documenting Viola's participation in the trip to India are also present. Folder 42 contains a portrait of Bernard.
