David Bruce Moorhouse first came to Papua New Guinea in 1955 as a young patrol officer and rose through the ranks of Australian field administrators to become Deputy District Commissioner in 1969. Moorhouse later worked as a consultant specialising in Papua New Guinea land, 1989-1992.
