George P. Bissell letter and narrative, 1862.

Letter from Lieutenant in the 25th Regiment of Infantry, Connecticut Volunteers, to his sister Carrie describing how much he likes being a soldier, how he commands his men, and his requirements for a good horse. He is yet untested in battle. A separate narrative describes a later battle and the number of his men wounded and killed.
