A Memoir of the Black Sea, Turkey and Egypt, 1819.

The collection consists of Volume I, Parts I and II; Volume II, Parts I and II; and Volume III. Each of these manuscripts provide detailed information about the history of commerce of the Black Sea, Turkey, and Egypt. Charts, in manuscript form, to enhance the text, can be found in Volume III. An inscription from the author is found on the title page of Volume, I, Part I. In the Preface to Volume I, Part I, author discusses "the importance which the trade of the Black Sea of Turkey would ultimately become to the United States." This same volume provides an extensive bibliography of sources used to write the manuscript and a list of individuals with whom he consulted.
