Rolston family papers, ca. 1909-1924.

The Rolston Family Papers consist primarily of photographs and postcards. Subjects of the 36 photographs include members of the Rolston family; members of Eastern Star (to which Margaret J. Rolston belonged), Masons and Knights Templar (to both of which William N. Rolston belonged), possibly in Fairbanks, Alaska; Episcopal Church activities in Fairbanks; Grace Rolston's husband, Roy Blair and his mother; and the sternwheelers Monarch and Sarah. Of the approximately 30 postcards, most picture non-Alaskan scenes and are addressed to Grace Rolston. The collection also includes certificates of baptism and confirmation for Theodore Benjamin Rolston dated 1917; a Power of Attorney for W. M. Rolston dated 1899; marriage certificate of Grace Rolston and Roy Blair dated 1919; and a copy of the "Fairbanks Daily News" with a photograph of the first high school graduating class that included Howard Rolston.

The Rolston family resided in Fairbanks, Alaska, from ca. 1907 to at least 1917. The head of the family was William Norton Rolston, born in Canada in 1861. His wife, Margaret, was born in Illinois in 1869.
