The records include minute books (1927-1946) which document stock, bond, mortgage transactions, and mergers. The records describe the company's relationship with PP&L. There is also information describing the operation of the New Deal's National Industrial Recovery Administration and the establishment of codes of fair competition for the electric industry. Records also document the company's effort to defeat the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. There is also a good deal of information on employee relations and collective bargaining as well as company efforts to establish an employee Welfare Association.
