Miscellaneous papers consist of correspondence about the publication of "Alumni News"; Library correspondence pertaining the Association; form letters to alumni regarding annual fund drives, alumni days, a gift for Mac Luck, life insurance, Of interest are a letter soliciting membership in the "Charlottesville and Albemarle sponsors Committee of the Centennial and Alumni Endowment Funds, 1917, together with a sheet of "Special Information for Campaign Teams," "Instructions to Canvassing Committeemen" and a form letter and printed list of sponsors from Charlottesville mayor A. V. Conway; a fundraising letter/brochure, 1938, with phtographs of the new Alderman Library, a fundraising letter/brochure, circa 1939, with photographs of John Lloyd Newcomb, Ivey F. Lewis, Harry Clemons, and alumni officers asking questions about the Annual Alumni fund; and a fundraising letter/brocure, 1950, listing all donors for the year. The collection contains lists of active and inactive chapters, 1947, and their officers; by-laws, 1947; mailings, 1940-1941, from the Alumnae Association; and a receipt to Alderman Library, 1950, for loaned items to put on permanent display including a cup presented to President Alderman, a Board of Visitors corkscrew and J. B. O'Neill's 1917 bugle. The collection also contains invitations including three cartoon postcards, 1914, by Carl Zeisberg, and an invitation to the dedication of a memorial to Lewis Dabney Crenshaw; tickets, notices, pledge cards and envelopes; brochures of University of Virginia gift items for sale; advertisement for Miss Lucy's University White Fruit Cake (10% of proceeds to Alumni Association); a card sent on behalf of the Intercollegiate Intelligence Bureau, and a menu from a luncheon in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, 1903.
