Samuel Gilman letters [manuscript], 1826-1843.

In an 1826 letter to [Charles Chauncy Sewall?] Gilman sends a jar or preserves to Mrs. Sewall, requests a prayer book be charged to his account, and sends greetings to various friends. In an 1843 letter to "Gentleman" Gilman writes concerning a miscarried order for a half dozen copies of Greenwood's "Sermons on consolation" to a Charleston bookseller and notes that Oliver N. Shannon can help with the matter.
