Campbell family papers [manuscript], 1851-1897.

Family papers, chiefly of Joseph W. Campbell, include his business correspondence, receipts from the sheriff, the clerk and the commissioner of the revenue of Albemarle County, Va., for taxes, court business, fines for absence at muster and a tax in kind form, 1864, for the estimating and assessing of agricultural products issued by the Confederate government to Campbell. The collection also contains business cards of Robert Sampson, a Charlottesville, V., and letters from local residents including William J. Robertson and S. V. Southall.
