Francis Granger letter to Gideon Granger [manuscript], 1821 December 4.

Granger, Richmond, writes to his father on personal and family business, including the refusal of Richmond banks to take his drafts and the selling of his horse Old Bob. Concludes with a note the he "passed a most delightful day at Monticello--was treated with every attention--urged to prolong my visit & the parting words of Mr. Jefferson were 'remember me most kindly to your father & tell him old friendships are not fogotten' "
