In a letter,1851 Oct 8.,Osgoodwrites to the Rev. Dr. Griswold apologizing for his report, as the words are impromptu. He is "in the habit" of seeing [page] proofs and asks that proofs be sent to his house at 86 No. Eleventh St. or the office of the Christian Inquirer. In a letter, 1852 Feb 28, Oswald writes to Griswold that will send his speech as nearly as he can remember it. He asks for proofs, since he is worried about misprints. He feels pleasure in bothering Griswold, who got him into a "dreadful scape" on Wednesday, and writes, "Only the grace of heaven saved me from breaking down." In a letter, 1898 Nov 15,Osgood writes to "My dear Mr. Curtis[?]" describing Mr. Bryant's religious views and character, and embarks upon a personal anecdote about Bryant.
