Special Orders no. 60 for the battle of Stones River [manuscript], [1862 Dec. 31-1863 Hab, 3].

Special Order No. 60 by command of Major General [John Cabell] Breckinridge directs the consolidation of skirmishing lines; the right wing placed under the command of Major [John P.?] Austin; the left wing under the command of Major [Nicholas Nichols?] Cox. Major [George W.?] Nichols relieved to rejoin his regiment. Austin and Cox to advance together and report to headquarters any movements of the enemy. Verson contains a rough sketch of the battlefield placing Murfreesboro, roads, railroad and the river.
