The collection consists of a clipped article from the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot stating that President Roosevelt favored returning the Jefferson books in the Library of Congress to Monticello. Actual housing would be in the Alderman Library at the University of Virginia whose "skilled librarians" would make them available for use "without the risk of damage or loss."
