Letter to John Reuben Thompson [manuscript], 1860 April 20.

Shortridge is delighted to learn of Thompson's book on Southern poets and offers to help as he knows most of the Alabama poets, including [Alexander Beaufort?] Meek. He encloses three dollars for a copy of "The Southern Literary Messenger" for John T. Morgan, like him, a lawyer who writes in his spare time.
