Mike Montgomery is a graduate of the University of Michigan. A pianist and music collector, Montgomery played and recorded with the Boll Weevil Jass Band, and is knowledgeable on blues and ragtime piano roles. Montgomery has produced LP and CD reissues for the Biograph label and has written liner notes for others.
