Cartoon and miscellany index [manuscript] [ca. 1970].

A chronological index of cartoons in manuscript collections. The index was orignally compiled for cartoons in the Harry F. Byrd, Sr., Collection #9700, with substantial additions from the Hugh Scott Collection #10179, and a few from other collections. Undated cartoons are indexed alphabetically by cartoonist. With the file is a small miscellany file of photographs, maps and plaques, chiefly from the Byrd and Scott collections. The collection also contains a checklist of original Fred O. Seibel cartoons found in the Seibel and Harry F. Byrd, Sr. collections.

Hugh Doggett Scott Jr. (November 11, 1900 – July 21, 1994) was an American lawyer and politician. A member of the Republican Party, he represented Pennsylvania in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. He served as Senate Minority Leader from 1969 to 1977.
