Papers of Frank C. Littleton and his wife, Olive Trowbridge Littleton, concern World War I, 1914-18, Industrial Finance Corp. of N.Y., and personal interests, particularly "Oak Hill," once the home of James Monroe. Original Monroe items include ships papers for the brig "Minerva," 1812; Letter to the overseer at Oak Hill, 1818 May 22; Letter to Eliza Monroe Hay, 1821 October 16; and Letter to unidentified recipient regarding claims before the Senate, 1826 May 17.

James Monroe, fifth president of the United States of America (b. April 28, 1758, Monroe Hall, Virginia-d.
